When we first starting writing music for The Royal Bones', we originally planned on doing a full-length album in a not-so-acoustic style genre, and the album was going to have two instrumental tracks, and intro called "Inhale" and an outro called "Exhale". "Inhale" was going to be before this song Aurelia wrote called 'Monster'. We put the song 'Monster' on the shelf, but liked where we were going with the intro, changed the name to "Exhale" (since it was the last song on our EP) and recorded our parts live, almost like a jam session. --J
